Sudanese Women Artists Association is a nonprofit non- political association,located in Khartoum Sudan. Founded by Teyseer Abdelgadir Salim (1998 Art graduate), and adopted by a group of young women artists in 2000.
The association goals are to encourage and support women artists to increase their artistic activities and have more constructive role, and considered as an active group among the art movement in Sudan.
To serve as a forum for dialogue between artists and the community, in order to help develop public awareness and recognition of Sudan art and culture.
Documentation of artwork and contributions by Sudanese women artists .
Organize travailing exhibitions, trips around the Sudan and abroad, art classes for children and women, workshops, lectures and help reserve and document the local cultures .
Participate in humanitarian issues, by organizing workshops and exhibit artwork that represents our opinion. We hope to establish communication with associations or organizations with similar goals, in order to observe their experiences and exchange information .
